Bio

I'm currently the Director of Broadcast and Art Production at Commonwealth//McCann in Detroit. I oversee the day to day operations of the broadcast commercial, photography and content production for North America as well as any global work that originates in the Detroit office. I deal with all aspects of production including the relationship with GM purchasing, legal issues, bidding and general problem solving.

Recently I was Vice President/ Head of production at GlobalHue, which was the

agency of record for Jeep and one of the largest minority agencies in the U.S. While there

I produced the 2014 Super Bowl spot for the Chrysler 200 featuring Bob Dylan.

I was also a vice president, executive producer for Doner starting in 1994. I brought

my extensive experience to some of the best known national brands including Lowe's,

Cox Communications, Coke, Minute Maid, Blockbuster, Blockbuster International, Del

Taco, Autotrader.com, B.P. Oil International, Motrin, US Cellular and many others.

Prior to joining Doner I worked in the automotive sector at Bozell Worldwide,

where I worked on Jeep National, and Jeep Dealer, Chrysler National and Dodge

International.

I also have had experience at mid-size advertising agencies having served as the

executive producer, director of broadcast production for Simons Michelson Zieve

Advertising (SMZ) in Troy, Mich. From 1989 to 1994, I was responsible for the

broadcast production of all of SMZ's major clients, most with local and regional

marketing needs including AAA Michigan, Big Boy Restaurants, Cadillac Dealer

Groups, Detroit Edison, Jacobson's Department Stores, NuVision Optical, Ladbroke DRC

(Race Track) and Kelly Assisted Living, a division of Kelly Services.

My background also includes experience on the production company side. I

worked on live-action, special effects and animation for Magic Lantern Productions a

full-service commercial film production company, located in Farmington Hills, Mich.

While there I worked on three feature films, including "Harry and the Hendersons,” “Evil

Dead II,” (yes there were two and actually a third) and (thankfully there was only one)

“Moontrap.”

I’ve been the recipient of several industry awards, including the Silver Clio and a

Bronze Lion, Communication Arts as well as assorted Caddys/D-Show and RAC awards.

I am a graduate of Michigan State University

with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. I currently live in Bloomfield Hills

Michigan with my wife and two children.  I am an avid runner and reader, I have yet to figure out how to do both at the same time.
